After a fire in a barn in Assen, the body of a 51-year-old Assen resident was found this morning. The police confirm that there are no signals that indicate a crime.
This morning at 7.40 am a report was received of a fire in a shed at the intersection of Tooropstraat and Roessinghstraat in Assen. The body was found while extinguishing the fire.
The police initially had difficulty with the trace investigation because of the fire. Therefore, the identity of the victim could only be confirmed at the end of the afternoon.
