Waterfall-sketch series returned to the screen today for the 16th season. Viewers have expressed their bitter disappointment on social media.

Renewed competition
In the season that started today, the traditional sketch character competition for the program was renewed. All six actors present two characters each in the first two episodes, from which the viewers vote for one to continue.
In the episode seen on Saturday, their characters introduced themselves Eino Heiskanen, Joonas Kääriäinen and Ushma Olava.
Eino Heiskanen’s first sketch character is Fennoscandia’s most feared warrior, Assbjørn Sinitucca. As his second character, Heiskanen introduced Kari Varan, an experienced caravanner and the terror of camping grounds.
Kari Varani was allowed to continue.
Ushma Olava’s first character was Rekka-Liisa, the queen of roads from behind the windshield. The 116-year-old cabaret singer Tarja Delá Fonte faced Rekka-Liisa.
Rekka-Liisa was able to continue.
Joonas Kääriäinen’s first character, shy father Aki, arrived at the studio on roller skates. Another character was Aromipönttö, who cooked fish soup.

The sketch characters have also been received with mixed feelings.
