Taylor Swift’s groundbreaking success probably didn’t go unnoticed last year; there was news about the musician almost every day – and now again. A study has shown that one in 15 records sold in the USA in 2023 came from the 34-year-old.
Swift impresses digitally and analogue
This result was made public by “Billboard“. A total of 49.6 million vinyl records were sold in the United States in 2023, of which Swift accounted for around seven percent with around 3.5 million records. That’s the equivalent of one in 15 plates. So it’s no wonder that right away several of their releases in the top 10 of the best-selling vinyl albums of the year in the USA – to be more precise, it takes up half.

This news comes just a week after it was announced that the “Karma” singer also dominated US streaming numbers in the previous calendar year. She is credited with one of 78 tracks streamed onlineso it takes up around 1.8 percent of the total amount.
Records upon records
As impressive as these numbers are, they don’t come as much of a surprise. If you look at the current charts, Taylor Swift is still represented several times in almost every list. In particular, the new release of “Cruel Summer” from her work LOVER has been appearing for several weeks now Singles charts. The album charts also show that Miss Swift is convincing with both younger and older records. Their current release in 1989 (TAYLOR’S VERSION) recently broke another record. It spent 68 weeks at number one on the Billboard album charts, surpassing Elvis Presley, who previously topped the chart with 67 weeks.
