Gordon has been in Dubai for six months and that was celebrated yesterday in the Shownieuws program, which broadcast a short compilation of his Instagram photos and videos. “It’s so uncomfortable there!”
After that so-called robbery at his home in Amsterdam, Gordon was completely done with our country. He left on high feet for – ahem – incredibly tolerant Dubai. We Dutchmen were promised that he would keep a low profile there, but Gordon continues to seek attention with his somewhat ludicrous life.
Half year Dubai
The state of affairs is that Gordon has been in Dubai for six months now. A whole item was devoted to this in Shownieuws yesterday. “I’ve always said, I think he’ll be back before Christmas next year. So over a year. But he is holding up well and he says he is having a great time,” said Weekend boss Bart Ettekoven.
Bart indirectly follows all the things Gordon puts on the socials. “He looks good, he is relaxed and says, ‘This is the life I’ve always longed for. Tranquility, anonymity.’ He certainly has that there. Enough sun always does him good, so good for him.”
Awful
The fallen criminal lawyer Bram Moszkowicz said: “I don’t think it’s a punishment to sit there. I’ve never been there, but what I see of it…”
Bart reacts inexorably. He loathes Dubai. “I think it’s horrible to sit there. It’s a plastic fantasy world. They don’t really know the conviviality as we know it in the Netherlands. But it’s nice for a holiday, for a few days, but I personally don’t want to think about it.”
Luxury
Everyone has their own taste, according to Bart. “That’s just something personal that you love,” he says.
However, Dubai is extremely suitable for a ludicrous life. “Gordon likes good food, you can do that there. The most beautiful and the finest restaurants are located there. He likes luxury and there is, because a lot of money is spent there. Those are all things that appeal to him.”
