FC Bayern loses again in Italy

The FC Bayern Munich basketball players ended their trip to Italy in the Euroleague with two defeats.

The Bundesliga basketball team lost its away game at Armani Milan against German national basketball player Johannes Voigtmann 62:76 (27:34). Two days earlier, Bayern had already been beaten by Virtus Bologna (83:85).

Against Milan, apart from Serge Ibaka (16 points), no player from the guests initially found a rhythm, and there was also a lack of intensity in defense. The Munich team were behind 12:19 after the first quarter. In the second half, Bayern remained without a goal from the field for five minutes, but their deficit did not increase at the break.

Milan pulls away in the final section

As the third half progressed, Bayern found their way into the game more and more, and shortly before the half-time break, the guests equalized for the first time since the start of the game thanks to Carsen Edwards. But the momentum only remained on Munich’s side for a short time; at the beginning of the final period, the hosts took a decisive lead with a 20-2 run. Ultimately, the Bundesliga basketball team presented itself too harmlessly offensively to pose a threat to Milan.

The 62 points mean the second lowest point total of the season for Bayern. With a record of eight wins and eleven defeats, Bayern are still outside the playoff places in the European Cup. Voigtmann scored five points for the Italians, and Maodo Lo, the second German international in Milan’s ranks, was out again with a thigh injury.
