Hardly anyone who ever stepped foot at Old Trafford doubted Aston Villa’s ability to cause problems for Manchester United.

Still, its two goals in just five minutes seemed unreasonable. Villa’s special situation coach Austin McPhee admired the mark of his own work for the first time in the 21st minute. Leon Bailey stood the United coach André Onanan behind the back while John McGinn was giving a side vapar.

Bailey ran off and messed up Onana’s hair perfectly. The ball sent by McGinn went straight into the net.

Moments later, McPhee was also recognized by Villa’s Basque manager From Unai Emery. This time it was a corner kick, which was played in a clever pattern and by Clément Lenglet through the head To Leander Dendonckerwho could only stretch his legs and fan a 2-0 halftime lead.

The chase is successful

Villa’s away win would not have been a surprise, but the round of matches on Boxing Day hit sir by Jim Ratcliffe for the first match as part owner of United.

That again forced United to wake up to struggle in the second period.

Ratcliffe bought a 25 percent slice of the club on Christmas Eve, and it is already suspected that as many as a third of the staff of around 1,000 employees will get the boot.

What does that mean for manager Erik ten Hag or the players? What is certain at least is that Ratcliffe’s right-hand man, sir Dave Brailsfordis looking for a suitable exit for several high-paid futsal stars already in the January transfer window.

Garnacho leveled the match in the 71st minute with luck as his drive deflected off the Villa defender Diego Carlos from the leg.

After that, in practice, only one goal was played. Finally, in the 82nd minute, the entire stadium united by Rasmus Højlund to screams, when the Danish forward finished the first goal of his Premier League career magnificently.

And what a goal it was! The ball dropped within Højlund’s reach from Villa skipper McGinn’s knee and the youngster shot it straight out of the air through the post and into the net.

Manchester United won the match 3–2 and rose to sixth place in the league. However, Ratcliffe and Brailsford’s work is only just beginning.
