After a long poker period, striker Victor Osimhen from Italian football champions SSC Napoli has extended his contract by one season until June 30, 2026.
The SSC announced this on Saturday. According to media reports, the 24-year-old Nigerian is now expected to earn ten million euros per year. Apparently the transfer fee in the event of an early move was set at 130 million euros.
Osimhen was crowned top scorer in Serie A last season with 26 goals and was thus instrumental in Napoli’s first Scudetto in 33 years. The ex-Wolfsburg player was also under discussion at Bayern Munich this year before Harry Kane was signed.
