The cast of the biopic about the Mecca of the entertainment industry, the influences of social media and what you can learn from the Milli Vanilli scandal.
It is probably the most famous scandal in music history: Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morgan cheated millions of fans by singing backing tracks. This – or at least something similar – is the consensus about the late 80s phenomenon Milli Vanilli. But the biopic “Girl You Know It’s True” by director Simon Verhoeven is now supposed to clear that up. The film portrays a new perspective. The focus is not on the reactions to the scandal, but rather on the motives of the masterminds in the background and the emotional world of the protagonists.
