Several Fluvius customers have received a letter in the mail in recent weeks stating that their natural gas meter needs to be checked urgently. “Samples show that with this type of meter the coupling comes loose in very exceptional circumstances and therefore the seal between the connecting pipe and the gas meter no longer completely closes,” it reads. According to Fluvius spokesperson Björn Verdoodt, there is no reason to panic. “Only if the meter were to be seriously pushed could a leak possibly occur,” he says.
