The Fashion Council Germany (FCG) is currently giving fashion designers the opportunity to present their designs to the public in Mannheim.
As part of the “pop-up exhibition” FCG Temp Studio, designers from Mannheim and the surrounding area are showing selected pieces in the centrally located Q6Q7 shopping center until December 23rd. “Key pieces” from the labels Anna Auras, Belle Ikat, Claire Common, F65.0, Florenz, Goldmarlen, Isabella Asfour, Julia Jung, Limo, Meriem Lebdiri and My little Bukhara can be seen, the industry organization announced on Tuesday.
The project offers labels from the region around Mannheim a stage
According to the FCG, the presentation was made possible by the Futuraum project, which “supports the creative interim use of empty retail spaces in Mannheim city center.” The rooms are now used not only for temporary presentations, but also for workshops, lectures and information exhibitions. The FCG opened its first branch outside of Berlin in Mannheim in the spring.
FCG Managing Director Scott Lipinski explained the background to the project. “We are pleased that with the FCG Temp Studio we can offer our members from the region around Mannheim a stage to present themselves to a wider audience,” he explained in a statement. “Since opening our first branch in Mannheim, LocalOne, we have been concentrating more on supporting our members in the southern federal states and would like to continue our commitment nationwide in the future.”
