Today, NMBS is launching the first phase of its plans to significantly expand the train offering. The ambition is to ultimately increase the number of train passengers by 30 percent by 2032. As of today, more trains will be installed between Noorderkempen and Antwerp Central and a direct train will run between Leuven and Charleroi to make the airport easier to reach.
