Having won the second consecutive World Rally Championship Kalle Rovanperän stable mate Elfyn Evans has been injured in his spare time.
– I am sorry that I will not be able to participate in the FIA award ceremony and celebrate the end of the 2023 season in Baku tonight, the British driver said on X (formerly Twitter).
– Unfortunately, I fell off my bike a few days ago and injured my ribs. I have been advised not to travel by plane, Evans continued and wished all the participants of the award gala and especially his Toyota team a pleasant evening.
Toyota won Rovanperä, Evans, who won the World Championship silver, and the team manager Jari-Matti Latvala under the leadership of the manufacturers’ world championship.
