Three friends saved their neighborhood in Breda from a wave of burglaries on Thursday evening. They spot a suspicious trio. They followed the man and two women and called police when one of them climbed over a fence. After a chase, the possible burglars were caught and arrested.
Two friends were smoking a cigarette in a car on Thursday evening around seven o’clock. They were parked in Vierlingstraat, with another car in front of them. “It contained a man and two women,” police said. The three discussed something, got out and spread through the neighborhood. “It appeared the man and women were out exploring.”
The two friends called a third comrade to keep an eye on the suspicious trio. Then they walked behind them into the neighborhood. “When one of the women climbed over a fence, they immediately confronted her,” police said. She was shocked and quickly walked back to the car with the others.
Haunted
They fled the neighborhood at high speed, with the three friends following them. They called the police and stopped the chase, because the possible burglars were now driving much too fast. The getaway car was then spotted by the police on the A16.
The thieves’ car was pulled over along the highway and the occupants were arrested. These are three South Hollanders (25 to 58) from Maassluis, Rotterdam and Capelle aan den IJssel. They are being held for further investigation.
