Ex-ManUnited star demands transfer from Thomas Müller

Manchester United were recently said to be interested in Thomas Müller from FC Bayern. A former Red Devils player is now calling for a transfer of the attacking midfielder.

“He is a great leader who everyone in the football world admires. He has been playing for one of the best clubs in the world for many years and has achieved a lot with Bayern,” enthused Louis Saha in an interview with “Betfred”.

Müller is “not as fast and callous as Robert Lewandowski, but no one should doubt the quality of a player who has won so much,” said the Frenchman, who played for Manchester United from 2004 to 2008.

Müller has been able to play at such a high level for years because he is “a clever player with a great personality,” emphasized Saha.

“He may be 34 years old, but he could still be the solution for United. Even if not for the long-term future,” the 45-year-old continued: “There are not many players in the world with this mix of quality and personalities . It was the same when Manchester United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United in 2017 at the age of 34. Ronaldo returned to his former club from Juventus in 2021 at the age of 35.

“These players look for challenges and challenge their teammates,” emphasized Saha, adding: “That’s exactly what we need. Every time these players were on the pitch for Manchester United, they had traction, they were self-confident and… “They had courage. No matter how well they played, they never shirked responsibility.”

Müller’s contract with FC Bayern only runs until the end of the season. “Sport Bild” recently reported on United’s past interest in the 2014 world champion and reported that a possible offer from the Premier League club could give Müller pause. According to Sky, there is no truth to the rumors.
