US retailer Claire’s Holdings LLC has continued its international expansion. Together with local sales partner Exalta, the company has now opened its first flagship store in Mexico.
Claire’s chose the Plaza Satélite shopping center in a suburb of the capital Mexico City as its location. The retail chain now offers its products and a piercing service in an area of around 110 square meters.
The reopening marks an “important milestone” in the development of Claire’s, the retailer said in a statement on Thursday. Richard Flint, the brand’s European boss, also emphasized that the first store in Mexico is “just the beginning of the opportunities we see in this market.”
According to its own information, Claire’s currently has more than 2,750 stores in a total of 17 European and North American countries. The company also has stores in the Middle East and South Africa operated by franchise partners.
