“I’m looking forward to tonight,” Inan begins when his world trip tonight is discussed. Drive to Waalwijk for ten minutes. “I think ten minutes of kick and rush football. Because RKC will want to get the ball forward as quickly as possible. It is possible that Ajax will adjust the line-up slightly accordingly. They have three free substitutions for injured players and they still have four regular substitutions left.”
Matthias Kohler was suspended from FC Volendam. But who will step in as successor? “There are enough trainers. Also trainers who are longing for work. But what perspective can you offer a potential trainer at FC Volendam or Vitesse? At one, financial risks have been taken and at the other there is takeover hassle. But yes, if you have been at home for a while and you feel the itch again, you may have the conviction to do it.”
