Tanguy Coulibaly has found a new club after his contract with VfB Stuttgart ended. The 22-year-old offensive player signed a working paper with the French first division club Montpellier HSC until 2026 on Monday.
For Coulibaly it is the first professional stop at home. The left-footer, who came from the PSG youth team, moved from the capital club’s U19 team to the Swabians in 2019, for whom he played 74 games (six goals, three assists) in four years. The expiring contract was not renewed after last season, reportedly due to indiscipline.

In Montpellier, according to their own statements, they had already been looking into an obligation in the summer, but according to President Laurent Nicollin, it did not materialize: “Last week his advisor came back to us. We are therefore pleased to be able to welcome him to us now.”
