The gold price rose to an all-time high on Monday, mainly helped by a weakening dollar. The price of the precious metal rose to as much as $2,135 per troy ounce (31.1 grams) on the metal market in Singapore. This more than broke the old record level of just over $2,075 from August 2020. Later the price dropped again to below $2,100.
