Roald Dahl, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. The masterpiece book which marked the childhood of entire generations will once again come to life at the cinema – to be precise, in Italian cinemas from December 14, 2023 – thanks to a new film by director Paul King. Wonka stars the actor who currently attracts more than a chocolate: Timothée Chalamet. Famous for his talent, new girlfriend and chic unisex look on the red carpet.
Engaged in the 2023 press tour of the film, Chalamet seems to have entered the character perfectly. On set, and on the red carpet: and the credit goes entirely to the chosen wardrobe, inspired precisely by that of the character he plays, the magical “chocolatier”.
The King of the red carpet, soon King of Chocolate
An enchanted journey in the name of fashion, the one undertaken by the 27-year-old star this November. Started with a feast of glamor a Tokyo: for the first stop of the 2023 press tour of WonkaChalamet bet on a sugary outfit. Always a fan of slim suits, he opted for one violet style shirt and matching trousers custom made by Prada shiny effect, inspired by the Autumn-Winter 2022/2023 men’s collection.

The Oscar nominee completed the look with a pair of Chelsea boots designer paint whites Bottega Veneta. Upon arriving in Japan at Narita International Airport on Nov. 19, she smiled for photographers in a tank top and loose-fitting trousers with a drawstring waist. Loewedark sunglasses Jacques Marie Mage and maxi coat at the Matrix signed Avellano – just to get off topic.
Timothée Chalamet’s looks inspired by Willy Wonka
The references to the famous character’s wardrobe also continue London. For the English stage at The Royal Festival Hall, Timothée Chalamet wanted to pay homage to his predecessor – Johnny Depp, who played Wonka in 2005 The Chocolate Factory by Tim Burton – sporting a purple velvet suitvery similar to the one worn by the actor in the film.

The outfits for the Wonka premiere in London
Which is the “uniform” of the Maître Chocolatier most loved by adults and children alike: a very similar blazer was already spotted on Chalamet during filming, paired in a vintage style with corduroy trousers and lace-up boots. For the look of the London press tour, the designer and modern version of the new collection Tom Ford Spring-Summer 2024, worn close to the skin to make the necklace stand out Cartier in white gold, onyx, opals, tourmalines and emeralds. A unique, precious and multicolored piece, which seems to have come out of a candy shop. On the other hand, it was the actor himself who, in unsuspecting times, launched the fashion for diamond and pearl jewelery for him, at the time of another press tour, that of Bones and all (2022).

For the photocall before the shadow of Tower Bridge, Timothée Chalamet preferred stay in his shoeswith another suit, this time signed Alexander McQueen, in the trendy pinstripe fabric. Standing out among the outfits of co-stars Hugh Grant and Olivia Coleman with him on the red carpet are the jacket with a micro train worn over bare skin and the chunky combat boots (Alexander McQueen again).

Must-have: the sweatshirt Oompa Loompa
Out of Factory, Timmy’s references become bolder. If on the one hand we can’t wait to see the designer sneakers on his feet in the film Wonka with Nikemade in only 5 pairs, distinguished by the Chocolate colored soles – and what else, if not – on the other hand even the more casual unlined looks in these days of promotion are no different.
Just think of the sighting on stage at Saturday Night Liveon November 11, again as part of the promotional tour: Chalamet opted for a very literal approach to Willy Wonka’s style, wearing a hoodie sweatshirt personalized with the writing “Oompa” on the front and “Loompa” on the back.

The already cult piece is signed Cactus Plant Flea Market, a street brand of which the actor is a devoted fan. Chalamet paired it with a vintage sherpa jacket from Levi’sa pair of gray jeans and some high top sneakers from Rick Owens.
An adolescent look that immediately looks like “Wonka” as “Charlie”: after all, Is there perhaps an actor with a more transformative wardrobe at the moment?
