Hiroki Ito is no longer available to Bundesliga soccer club VfB Stuttgart this calendar year.
The Japanese international suffered a muscle injury in the 2-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday and will therefore not be able to play again until the winter break, as the Swabians announced on Monday.
In coordination with VfB, Ito traveled to his homeland to complete the necessary rehabilitation measures there.
