The Israeli government has published a list of 300 Palestinian prisoners that could be exchanged for civilians held hostage by Hamas. The most severely convicted is a 25-year-old woman who injured a Jewish man with a knife. But the vast majority have not yet appeared in court, even though some of them have been in custody for more than two years. The youngest are barely fourteen and almost half are still minors.
