The Foo Fighters frontman performed “Everlong” with the teenager. Listen here.
Scott Ian, the guitarist of the band Anthrax, posted a video on Instagram that is supposed to melt rock and metal hearts. Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl can be seen in the clip performing the track “Everlong” in the studio with Ian’s 12-year-old son Revel. The father commented on the post with the words: “Rev gave Pat the day off. He deserves it. He’s the nicest guy ever. All these guys here are. I love you Foo Fighters. Now I’ve said it.“By Pat we mean Pat Smear, the actual Foo Fighter guitarist.
Revel played the band’s classic with the Foo Fighters at the Bourbon & Beyond Festival in Louisville in 2019. The Anthrax guitarist and his son paid tribute to the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins by covering several of the band’s songs with Scott on guitar and Revel on drums.
Ian also said: “ We’ve been jamming our favorite Foo tracks all week.” He continued, “We’re healing our hearts with the power of rock. We love you Taylor and Dave and Pat and Chris and Nate and Rami.”
