It’s been five weeks since Erling Haaland was injured and substituted due to a torn muscle during Borussia Dortmund’s 3-2 win over TSG Hoffenheim. Since then, the second most valuable football professional in the world has been sorely missed. BVB has only won two of the six games since then and was also eliminated from the Europa League. Nevertheless, the club and fans still have to be patient, Borussia coach Marco Rose confirmed to “Bild” that he wanted to exercise caution in the case of the 21-year-old star striker.
“It’s a vague story. We don’t want to run into something new again – neither does he. We don’t want to gamble with his health. To be honest, I have to say that it can take a few more days,” Rose is quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Although Haaland had already completed units again in the past week, he was still a long way from full exertion, according to the “Bild”. “Erling still has some problems. He just doesn’t feel free. He doesn’t feel clear about his movements yet,” Rose continued. According to reports, the goal is the home game against Arminia Bielefeld on March 13th.
