Secret Sales appoints Chris Lacey as Chief Digital Officer

E-commerce specialist Secret Sales has expanded its leadership team. On Monday, the company announced the appointment of Chris Lacey to the newly created position of Chief Digital Officer (CDO).

The appointment marks the beginning of “a new chapter of growth,” said the operator of a digital off-price marketplace for fashion, sportswear and cosmetics in a statement. The company now wants to “aggressively accelerate its European expansion strategy.” Lacey, who will report directly to CEO Chris Griffin, will, among other things, be involved in developing new markets on the continent.

The new addition has extensive management experience in online business. Lacey most recently worked as director of e-commerce at British retailer Matalan and previously held the position of digital director at clothing retailer Superdry.

At the same time, Secret Sales announced the promotion of Alex Adamson to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this role, he will expand the marketing and digital strategy and work closely with Lacey to advance the company’s growth plans.
