Headaches every day, fainting regularly and having to lie down for about 20 hours a day. Until recently, that was what the life of Niek Strijkers (16) from Lommel was like. Although a life-saving operation abroad – and with a price tag of 80,000 euros – fortunately changed that. Together with mom Cindy, Niek looks back on the procedure a few months later and tells us whether it was all worth it.
