An almost century-old Scotch whiskey has achieved a world record price at an auction in London. The bottle of The Macallan Adami 1926 fetched more than 2.1 million pounds (2.5 million euros), according to the auction house Sotheby’s, which speaks of the highest price ever for a bottle of spirits or wine at auction.
