They performed “Heart-Shaped Box” together on stage. See the recording here.
David Bowie’s pianist Mike Garson performed a concert of Bowie covers in Los Angeles on Saturday (November 11). Dave Grohl also appeared on two songs with his daughter Violet. The Foo Fighters frontman accompanied his daughter for a cover version of Nirvana’s song “Heart-Shaped Box” from 1993 – Grohl was there on drums. Later they both sang “Show Me How”, the track from the current Foo Fighters album BUT HERE WE ARE, together.
TV presenter, DJ and music manager Matthew Pinfield attended the show and then shared various clips of the father-daughter performance. He explained: “Violet is a wonderful singer like her father… super talented.” Check out the recordings here:
Violet also teamed up with Mike Garson to record Bowie songs such as “The Man Who Sold The World,” “Where Are We Now?”, “Lady Grinning Soul,” “Life On Mars?” and “Aladdin Sane.” to give the best.
In recent years, Violet has toured as a backing singer with the Foo Fighters. In 2022, she also performed at a tribute concert for the band’s late drummer Taylor Hawkins, where she covered Jeff Buckley’s “Last Goodbye” and “Grace.”
