SI’m talking about a real one speed dating of the book, where everyone wears a sticker with the name and title of their favorite book and gets involved to meet like-minded people. And it aims to bring a generation raised on dating apps and virtual love back to real encounters. The independent bookshop chain, born as a second-hand market in 1979 in via Corsico, is an institution for the city of Milan, point a reference point for those who love reading but also a meeting place.
A role that it celebrates with initiatives that target Generation Z in particular, intercepting trends and bringing them further closer to reading.
So on Saturday 18th at 3pm, in the little Libraccio shop on the Navigli (Alzaia Naviglio Grande, 26), you can buy the “Leggo Much” shopper to take home all the books that fit in it for free, while stocks last. Because reading – and it has always been Libraccio’s philosophy – must be pleasant, but also accessible. Afterwards, from 3.30pm there will be a snack for participants at Maré, at 67 Ripa di Porta Ticinese, right in front of the bookshop.
Portraits between the lines will take place on Sunday 19th. Anyone who wishes can be immortalized by the photographer Antonio Di Canito with your favorite book in hand (in the bookshop in via Canonica 84). To say, and show, the profound bond that binds us to our readings.
