Leroy Sané has been in gala form at FC Bayern for weeks. So it’s no wonder that more and more well-known clubs from abroad are putting out feelers for the national player.
As Turkish transfer expert Ekrem Konur writes on X (formerly Twitter), England’s record champions Manchester United are closely monitoring Sané’s situation in Munich.
Explosive: The 27-year-old once played for United’s city rivals City for four years.
In 2016, the triple winner of the 2022/2023 season transferred 52 million euros to his training club FC Schalke 04 for him. FC Bayern, in turn, released Sané from the Sky Blues in 2020 for 49 million euros.
It is entirely plausible that United is interested in the Essen native. Even in the current season, the Red Devils are lagging far behind their own great ambitions.
Sixth place in the Premier League table even makes team manager Erik ten Hag’s chair, who was supposed to start a new era of success at Old Trafford, shake.
FC Bayern: Big new contract for Leroy Sané?
Given the sporting situation, it is questionable whether United is even an attractive destination for Sané. At least it was recently said that he could imagine another challenge abroad.
In this context, “Fichajes.net” from Spain brought Real Madrid into the conversation for the first time, where Sané is said to be an alternative to high-flyer Takefusa Kubo from league rivals Real Sociedad.
Sané is contractually bound to FC Bayern until 2025. That means: Only next summer could the Munich stand get an adequate transfer fee for him.
However, the “kicker” recently reported that an extension is likely – if FC Bayern offers Sané a new four or five-year contract with a salary in the region of 20 million euros, which he is currently expected to earn.
