Gerard Joling finds it scandalous how Tim den Besten seems to have misbehaved on the dating app Grindr. “I think what that man did is absolutely unacceptable.”
Tim den Besten made life miserable for three men for a year and a half by abusing their identities on Grindr and spreading the biggest rancor in their name, Het Parool reports. The three victims have reported this, but they are not the only victims. Nude photos were also allegedly stolen from others using the fake accounts.
‘Very painful’
It’s a shame, says Beau van Erven Dorens. “I would also find it very painful if someone had terrible conversations under my name on Grindr, for example, for a long time at night,” he says in his talk show on RTL 4.
His guest Gerard Joling completely agrees with this. If it is true, then according to him, Tim has really disqualified himself completely. “Plus you also have photos of that person and distribute them. I actually think it’s scandalous. It’s just not possible,” said the entertainer.
Gerard critical
Simultaneously with the release of this scandal, Tim announced that he was suffering from a serious form of cancer. “It is of course terrible that that man, that young man, has cancer – of course you wouldn’t wish that on your worst enemy – but these are of course… I also think it is very bad for the entire gay scene,” says Gerard.
He continues: “Of course you are often already 3-0 behind in many things when it comes to discussions. Then of course it is a very bad thing. And it’s bad for Grindr too. I think what that man did is absolutely unacceptable.”
What does Monica say?
Does Monica Geuze sometimes suffer from people abusing her identity? “Yes, that happens sometimes, but then it quickly becomes clear that that’s not me. Then a lot is reported and then it goes off the air in no time.”
She believes this is more difficult for relatively unknown men, such as Tim’s alleged victims. “I think it might be harder to figure out on dating apps that are a bit more private and in a niche.”
