The ride was cold for the women, as the boys forged the numbers 16–0 on the board. The difference in level was also reflected in the shooting statistics, which went 49–8 in favor of the U16 national team.
The Russian women’s national team is behind the United States, Canada and Finland in the hierarchy of the sport. When they last participated in the World Cup competitions in 2021, the games ended in the quarter-final stage with a loss against Switzerland. The Russian national team has reached bronze three times in the world championships.
The Minsk tournament also includes the U18 national teams of Kazakhstan and Belarus.
