Interim coach Fernando Diniz has announced the Brazilian squad for the upcoming two international matches in the World Cup qualification. While captain Casemiro (31) and superstar Neymar (31) are out injured, the 49-year-old has appointed a quartet to the “Seleção” for the first time – including top talent Endrick.
The storm jewel, who was already signed by Real Madrid for the coming season, caused a sensation with three goals in the last two games for Palmeiras São Paulo. Endrick should continue his good form in Barranquilla against Colombia (16/11) and in the Maracana against Argentina (21/11). At just under 17 years and four months, Endrick would become the fourth youngest player in “Seleção” history and the youngest debutant since 1966.

In addition to the top talent, attackers Pepê (26) from FC Porto, João Pedro (22) from Brighton and ex-Leverkusen player Paulinho (23) are also in Brazil’s squad for the first time. The former Bayer professional is completely convincing after an explosion in performance in his first year at Clube Atlético Mineiro and has so far contributed 27 goals and seven assists in 55 games. “He is currently experiencing a very special moment, he is also the top scorer in the Brasileiro and has a style of play that fits my idea of football very well,” said Diniz, who is also Douglas Luiz (25) from Aston Villa after a two-year absence brought back into the team.
