Patty Brard gave one of her colleagues at Shownieuws a terrible fright with her renovated appearance. “Are you beaten up?” Dyantha Brooks asked her worriedly.
Some celebrities do the craziest tricks to keep looking as young as possible: Patty Brard is on a vitamin drip somewhere every week and she is constantly at the hairdresser, the nail salon and clinics with cosmetic injections. You could wait for it: for once it has gone completely wrong.
‘My whole head’
The 68-year-old Patty posted a photo to her Instagram in mid-September.stories where she really looks awful. As if her treating doctor has run out of injectables. She kept a pretty low profile at the time, but it is now clear that that is not far from the truth.
What happened? Patty in Show news: “I had infected eyes, but I had absolutely nothing done to my face there. I had done mesotherapy and that is to promote your hair growth. Then you get all these little injections with vitamins and collagen in them and instead of taking it easy for a while, I said: ‘Just do my whole head.’”
Violent reaction
Well, that wasn’t the best decision. And the clinic was apparently not professional enough to dose Patty. “Because I wanted new hair everywhere,” she explains. “And that was so intense the next day. The fluid probably sank down so I woke up the next day having to do the TV.”
Patty had recordings of the Oh What A Year episode, which aired last night. Colleague Bart Ettekoven: “I remember you calling me in a panic that you had to go to Chantal Janzen and saying: ‘Yes, I can’t cancel.’”
The TV diva: “No, because it was Sunday and they couldn’t get a replacement.”
Beaten up
Colleague Dyantha Brooks was really shocked. “I saw this photo and I immediately called you because I thought: who beat you up? Who did you argue with?”
José Hoebee could of course have done so. But she has been biting her lip all day because of a strange nervous tic, so she keeps quiet. It was that mesotherapy. Bart: “It’s as if you were in the ring with Rico!”
Dyantha: “I really have to tell you that you went to Oh What A Year.”
First aid
Patty went to the emergency room at the time. Those poor people in Hilversum who need emergency care… Apparently they also have to wait for celebrities with an overdose of injectables. “I went, but I also have to give all the credits to Chantal, because she had a fever of 40 degrees that day.”
Well, that’s not necessary, because Chantal already gives those credits to herself in the talk show Open Card: “I had a really high fever the other day, but I had to do the recordings. Yes, I think that’s terrible. Then I come in as late as possible with six antigrippin in your mouth and fever head and I know a lot. Then you go into that show just to survive.”
Host Robbert Rodenburg is completely inspired: “Beautiful.”
