In November there will be some new products launching on Amazon Prime Video. TECHBOOK knows the new offer and all start dates. Below we will introduce you to the highlights in the film and series area individually.
Amazon is one of the largest video streaming providers on the market. Prime customers of the online retailer can not only use free premium shipping for 89.90 euros per year or 8.99 per month (can then be canceled monthly), they also have two streaming services, Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Video available. So that Amazon Prime Video can keep up with competitors such as Netflix and Disney+, the provider adds new series and films every month. The company also produces its own content under the name Amazon Originals. TECHBOOK reveals which new films and series Amazon Prime Video customers can look forward to in November 2023. However, it is important to note that Amazon can expand the range at any time.
The streaming providers Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+ and Sky/Wow also have many new films and series every month. TECHBOOK gives an overview.
New series on Amazon Prime Video in November
Does Halloween end the spooky season? Not even close! With “Romancero” and “Mandy and the Forces of Evil,” Amazon invites all horror fans to celebrate late fall and early winter with a pleasant shiver. But Amazon Prime Video also has a lot in store for comedy lovers and friends of heartwarming stories, including the third season of the mockumentary “The Discounters”. The dystopian hit series “The Handmaid’s Tale” will also continue with the fifth season.
Invincible (Season 2) – from November 3rd
This exciting, but sometimes oppressive superhero series is once again proof that animation is not always just for children. Mark Grayson was a normal teenager – except for the fact that his father Nolan is the most powerful superhero in the world. After his 17th birthday, Mark’s own powers awaken and he soon discovers that being a hero requires more than power, a name and a sleek costume. After the traumatic end of the first season, Mark is confronted with a whole new phenomenon (somewhat reminiscent of the path of the MCU): multiverses. But in addition to the obvious threat, Mark also has to face his own abysses.
Mandy and the Forces of Evil – from November 3rd
In keeping with the dark season, “Mandy and the Forces of Evil” debuts on Amazon Prime Video, a horror series seasoned with a touch of comedy. The German-Austrian production revolves around Mandy Pöppel, who still lives with her mother in her late 20s. She earns her money through séances, and one day the ghost of her school friend and neighbor Selcan appears to her. Demons are said to be wreaking havoc in their high-rise complex. Out of necessity, Mandy goes hunting with a small team. Not only does she have to face real horror figures, but also her own agoraphobia – claustrophobia triggered by wide, open places.
New films on Amazon Prime Video in November
Similar to other streaming providers, Amazon also sets its first Christmas accents in November. But while “Buddy, the Christmas Elf” fuels anticipation, “A Christmas Horror Story” provides more scary moments. But if you’re not familiar with the Advent atmosphere in November, you can look forward to a series of atmospheric action films. At the forefront are the thievingly good films “The Misfits” and “Honest Thief”. But Amazon Prime Video has also thought of children and is releasing the family adventure comedy “Hexen hexen” on November 7th and “The Little Prince” ten days later.
BTS: Yet to Come – from November 9th
BTS is probably the most famous Korean boy band of the last decades. Since their debut in 2013, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook have enjoyed incredible success at home and abroad, bringing the K-pop phenomenon to the global stage. Now Amazon Prime Video is releasing the concert film “BTS: Yet to Come,” giving BTS fans an early Christmas present. Taylor Swift recently proved with “The Eras Tour” that concert films have the potential to break all records. “BTS: Yet to Come” shows the concert at the Asia Main Stadium in Busan during the World Expo in October 2022. The concert film was only shown on selected screens in the cinema at the beginning of the year.
Downton Abbey II: A New Era – from November 14th
Old Lady Grantham – played brilliantly by Maggie Smith – is still full of surprises even in her old age. Her astonished family also discovers this when they receive the news that a certain Marquis de Montmirail has died in France and that Violet Crawley has bequeathed his villa on the Riviera. And as if this mysterious acquaintance from the family matriarch’s youth wasn’t already causing enough of a stir, a director wants to use the British family home as a filming location. Moving images at Downtown Abbey!? At least Butler Carson is outraged. Once again, the Crawleys and their employees have to face modernity – with all the clashes of values and amusing aberrations that this entails.
These were the new series on Amazon Prime Video in October
In October there were some new series releases on Amazon Prime Video. Both old classics and fresh series have been released on the streaming platform. Included are new releases such as “Everybody Loves Diamonds” (Season 1), “Last Exit Schinkenstraße” (Season 1) and also the film adaptation “The Therapy” by best-selling author Sebastian Fitzek. You can also stream the sixth season of “Young Sheldon” and the second season of “Mumbai Diaries 26/11” on Prime Video. You can also watch further filming of “Upload” (3rd season) in the future.
Last Exit Schinkenstraße (Season 1) – from October 6th
“Last Exit Schinkenstraße” is an Amazon Prime Video original. If you like weird, over-the-top, but also funny series, you should watch this. The two musicians Torben (Marc Hosemann) and Peter (Heinz Strunk) are kicked out of their dance band and then think about what to do next. They come up with a brilliant idea: get out of Germany and go to Mallorca to become a hit star.
Upload (3rd season) – from October 20th
The science fiction comedy “Upload” is entering its third round after the second season ended with a mysterious cliffhanger. In the latest season, Nathan (Robbie Amell) and Nora (Andy Allo) must stop David Choaks’ (William B. Davis) plan to launch Freeyond.
Sebastian Fitzeks: Therapy – from October 26th
Fans of Sebastian Fitzek, or crime novels in general, can look forward to the series film adaptation of “The Therapy”. The main character in the series (and in the book) is the psychiatrist Viktor Larenz (Stephan Kampwirth). After his 12-year-old daughter Josy (Helena Zengel) disappears, the psychiatrist has little choice but to mourn. Some time later he meets Anna (Emma Bading), who suffers from delusions and constantly “sees” a girl who looks very similar to Josy.

In addition to many new series on Amazon Prime Video, there are even more films that will be available to stream from October. There are almost 50 new titles for film fans on the platform. Included are classics such as “Men at Work”, “Carrie”, “S1m0ne”, the “Matrix” films and also the “Back to the Future” trilogy. You will also find new products that were only released in 2023. These include “After Everything”, “In My Mother’s Skin”, “The Burial” and also the Chilean action film “Sayen: La Ruta Seca”.
Carrie – Satan’s youngest daughter – from October 1st
“Carrie – Satan’s Youngest Daughter” is almost 50 years old, but the film is still considered one of the most popular horror classics. Carrie (Sissy Spacek) lives with his strict religious mother and is therefore not enlightened. It is also not considered particularly popular. After she has her first period, she is mocked by her classmates, who also hatch a plan to humiliate Carrie. But Carrie’s revenge becomes martial and ends in a massacre.
Holy Spider – from October 3rd
The film “Holy Spider” is set in Mashhad, the holiest city in Iran. The journalist Arezu Rahimi (Tsar Amir Ebrahimi) wants to research several murder cases in the city of Mashhad. A war veteran killed several city prostitutes in order to supposedly rid the city of its sins. However, Rahimi quickly realizes that the authorities are not particularly quick to investigate and that the murderer is celebrated by many residents for his actions.
The Burial – from October 13th
This film is based on true events, but partly loosely. It’s about the lawyer Willy E. Gray, played by Jamie Foxx. Bankrupt undertaker Jeremiah O’Keefe (Tommy Lee Jones) seeks help from Gray as he has a contract dispute with feuding entrepreneur Raymond Loewen.
Back to the Future Trilogy – from October 17th
There’s not much to say about “Back to the Future.” Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) travels between times and wreaks havoc. Together with Dr. Emmett L. “Doc” Brown (Christopher Lloyd) now has to try to put the past back on track.

The above-mentioned series and films are included in the Amazon Prime subscription and are therefore available to customers free of charge. Apart from this, there is a variety of other content that can be rented or purchased for a corresponding fee. If you rent a film, it is available to you for 30 days, but not indefinitely. After the content is started for the first time, it only remains in the digital video library for 48 hours.
