Facebook and Twitter are cutting back on their services because of the war in Ukraine.
The Facebook group Meta is now banning Russian state media from placing ads worldwide or making money on the social network, security chief Nathaniel Gleicher said on Twitter on Saturday.
The company is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine and will “continue to share steps to protect people on our platform.”
Facebook had previously allowed users in Ukraine to lock their profiles to protect themselves from persecution.
