Transfer competition for BVB and FC Bayern?

Trevoh Chalobah from FC Chelsea was recently traded at Borussia Dortmund, but above all again and again at FC Bayern. Now BVB and the German record champions are apparently facing competition in their bid for the defensive specialist.

As transfer expert Ekrem Konur reports via X (formerly Twitter), Chalobah has also landed on Inter Milan’s radar. Accordingly, the former England U21 international is no longer part of Chelsea’s team manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans. A winter change is therefore becoming increasingly likely.

Chalobah was reportedly close to a transfer to FC Bayern in the summer. The Munich team only wanted to loan the 24-year-old and Chelsea wanted to sell him directly. Ultimately he stayed in London, but was not used there in the current season.

Most recently, the “Bild” podcast “Bayern Insider” said that coach Thomas Tuchel continues to insist internally on signing Chalobah, who can play both in the center of defense and as a right-back.

The club bosses have already put a stop to a transfer. This is therefore unlikely.

Instead, Pierre Kalulu (AC Milan) or Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur) could become a hotter topic on Säbener Straße.

The “90min” portal reported on BVB’s supposed interest in Chalobah. It was said that people in Dortmund are monitoring the professional’s situation very closely. Accordingly, BVB could get into poker in the winter, but would like to push for a loan.

In addition to BVB and FC Bayern, Newcastle United, FC Brentford, FC Fulham and Nottingham Forest from the Premier League were mentioned as possible interested parties. Inter’s league rivals AS Roma and Juventus Turin are also said to have put out feelers.

Chalobah’s market value is estimated at around 18 million euros. He has 63 competitive games (four goals, one assist) for Chelsea at the professional level on his resume.
