Céline Ben David-Nagar, a French-Israeli citizen, was murdered in cold blood by Hamas terrorists,” the French organization ‘Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France’ (CRIF) announced yesterday on X. “We have this today learned after the identification of the body.”
26-year-old Céline grew up in France, but moved to Israel in 2006. On Saturday, October 7, the day the Palestinian terrorist movement Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel, the young woman went with friends to the now infamous music festival near the Gaza Strip. In the early morning, Hamas militants took over the festival grounds and started shooting en masse at those present. At least 260 festival goers died. Dozens of others went missing, including Céline.
That Saturday, around 7 a.m., Céline sent her husband a text message to let him know that everything was okay, but less than five minutes later, the situation changed drastically. “Suddenly there are soldiers,” the young woman wrote in a second and final message. Céline’s husband Idor and her brother Samuel recently pleaded for more information during a press conference of relatives of French hostages. “We want Ellie’s mother to come back,” it said at the time.
