Defender of PPJ Helsinki Kelechi Anyamele scored a hat-trick on Saturday in an almost incomprehensible way in football’s second division.
PPJ faced TiPS in the last match of the second A-group season in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki, and Anyamele scored three goals directly from a corner kick.
Anyamele, who was cooling off on the left defender’s pitch, got plenty of corner kicks in the eventful match, and no less than three of the inward corners he gave with his left foot found their way directly into the goal.
Anyamele scored a 2–2 equalizing goal, a 4–3 lead goal and a 6–3 lead goal. The hat-trick from the corner came during the first half.
The video recording of the match is embedded below and behind this link on Youtube. You can watch Anyamele’s goals from 20:15, 38:40 and 50:00 onwards.
After Anyamele’s second and third goals, on the video recording you can hear not only Applause but also disbelieving laughter.
The match did not end with quite the usual football results, as the final results were recorded for PPJ 8–5.
– Really good feelings. I would have been satisfied with even one goal. Three is enough. Nice to end like this, “Kele” said and smiled on PPJ’s “edari” Instagram account.
Kelechi Anyamele has also played in the Veikkausliiga Nnaemeka Anyamelen brother. Nnaemeka Anyamele has represented Finland in the youth national teams.
Kakkonen is the third highest league level in Finnish football.
