Red Bull Munich is giving ice hockey talent Julian Lutz a year of experience abroad in the USA. The German champions are releasing the 19-year-old striker for the coming season, and Lutz is joining the Green Bay Gamblers from the USHL junior league. The club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced this on Wednesday.
“Julian wants to gain momentum again after the last two difficult years in the junior sector,” said Munich Managing Director Christian Winkler. Lutz will return to Munich next summer.
In the past two seasons, Lutz was on the ice a total of 48 times in the DEL and the Champions Hockey League. He scored three goals and provided ten assists. Lutz was not in the Munich squad this season.
