PSV narrowly avoided another defeat in the group stage of the Champions League. Two weeks after the 4-0 at Arsenal, the Eindhoven team this time drew in their own stadium against Sevilla, the current number 15 in Spain: 2-2.
Nemanja Gudelj scored the opening goal halfway through the second half, by shooting the ball high and hard from close range: 0-1. Luuk de Jong converted a penalty for PSV in the 86th minute. Immediately after the kick-off, Sevilla took the lead again, thanks to a goal with the head of Youssef En-Nesyri. Defender Jordan Teze equalized deep into injury time (2-2).
PSV is in last place in group B with 1 point. The next two games against RC Lens will be crucial for coach Peter Bosz’s team, which has not yet lost a point in the Eredivisie.
