The resident of one of the houses in Kortrijk that was destroyed in a fire last Thursday was arrested on Friday on suspicion of arson. It concerns a 37-year-old woman who lived in one of the destroyed houses.
The serious fire took place in Herderstraat in Kortrijk. Three homes were destroyed and two firefighters were injured. It was not clear for a while whether the resident was still in the building, but she was eventually found and taken in for questioning. The woman is no stranger to the police and the public prosecutor’s office.
