NFL QB Jordan Love compared to Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes

Jordan Love turned a 17-0 halftime deficit into an 18-17 win with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. After the impressive success over the New Orleans Saints, an NFL expert was tempted to make a daring comparison.

Against New Orleans on Sunday, Green Bay looked like a sure loser until the final quarter. Jordan Love’s debut at Lambeau Field threatened to culminate in a fiasco as the team couldn’t get any points on the board. But then the quarterback finally turned things around, ran a touchdown himself and threw another to his wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

In particular, Love’s successful two-point conversion to make it 11:17 can rightly be described as a game changer. “ESPN” expert Dan Orlovsky was completely excited after the play.

“I don’t care who you are, I don’t care how long you’ve been playing – that’s a sick play. That’s pretty remarkable,” the former quarterback said of Love on social media, describing his throw into the end zone as “Mahomes/Allen-like.”

Love dodged several opponents during the two-point conversion and almost hinted at getting the egg over the goal line again on his own. At the last moment, however, he found Samori Toure, who made the play with a catch.

NFL icon Aaron Rodgers congratulated Jordan Love

The successful performance last weekend didn’t leave Aaron Rodgers, Love’s long-time mentor, indifferent. In contrast to Orlovsky, A-Rod has not yet drawn a comparison to the established NFL greats Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. On Tuesday, he did say a few warm words to his successor in the Green Bay jersey.

“Congratulations to J. I sent him a message after the game. I’m happy for him and it’s a cool moment. He’ll never forget this moment,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.
