Is Today Inside star Raymond Mens starting to believe in himself a little too much? If it is not about his desired salary of €200,000, then it is about a program that he says he is going to make in America with Johan Derksen. According to Raymond, it mainly depends on the planning, but according to John de Bever that is nonsense.
To America
John is good friends with Johan and knows that the VI star doesn’t feel like it at all. “No, Johan is not going to America with Raymond Mens. When Raymond told me that on TV, Johan immediately sent me a message the next day: ‘I am not going to America with Raymond Mens. If I go to America with anyone, it will be with you.’”
According to John, they are actually working on a show in which he and Johan travel to America. He tells in Story: “Johan Derksen is a good friend, whom I visit every Sunday, and we also call almost every day. Johan is my second father, we get along well.”
The three of us
Where John wants to make a musical show with Johan, Raymond wants to make a political program. Is there no compromise possible? John: “The three of us could also go. But if Johan wants to go to America with Raymond, he must do so. He shouldn’t let that happen because of me.”
He continues: “Johan, however, does not have time for the next two years. It’s packed. But as soon as his schedule allows it, Johan will show me the world of blues and country music in America.”
MAX trip
Where will that be seen? “I have already spoken to TV boss Jan Slagter about this. He wanted to broadcast our trip on Omroep MAX. But Johan didn’t know at the time whether SBS 6 allowed that, so that will have to be seen.”
“But for now we are too busy,” he concludes.
