Kylie Minogue: TENSION tops top 30 album charts

Your current album is currently selling better than all other new releases combined.

Since the release of her new record TENSION on September 22nd, Kyle Minogue has been storming the charts. After just five days, the pop star’s 16th studio album is selling better than all of the other top 30 candidates combined.

First place would mark the ninth chart top in Minogue’s 35-year career. The singer previously reached the top of the official album charts with her 1988 debut KYLIE, the 1989 record ENJOY YOURSELF, GREATEST HITS (1992), 2001’s FEVER, the 2010 album APHRODITE, GOLDEN (2018), STEP BACK IN TIME: THE DEFINITVE COLLECTION from 2019 and the 2020 work DISCO.

Doja Cat is expected to take third place in the charts with her fourth studio album SCARLET, which includes the hit single “Paint The Town Red”. This will probably be followed by Headie One and K-Trap with their first joint mix tape STRENGTH TO STRENGTH. The alt-rock band Teenage Fanclub will fill the top 5 with their new record NOTHING LASTS FOREVER.

With the single “Padam Padam” and the title track “Tension,” Kylie Minogue delivered pop anthems and dance tracks reminiscent of the early 2000s. From November 2023, the singer will perform these and other songs from the current album live at her Las Vegas residency at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort.
