Time is running out for Toine van Huizen. The former Telstar player is clubless and trains at SV Beemster, but would prefer to embark on an adventure abroad. The transfer market is closed, so it’s time for action. Together with NH Sport, he puts together a CV and starts the search for a new adventure.
Now that Van Huizen still does not have a new employer, he has been training daily at SV Beemster for some time. Once a week he even participates with a team of friends. “You can’t beat him.” says a player from SV Beemster. “Toine is a clown,” said another player.
Van Huizen prefers Scandinavia, Southern Europe and the hardworking countries in Central Europe. “I don’t have much to want, because I don’t have anything yet,” he says at the kitchen table. “It has to be right for us as a family,” says the Middenbeemster resident. He would prefer to go abroad with his wife and two children, but he is picky about that. “Eastern Europe is crossed,” he says, with a map in front of him.
His CV boasts clubs such as AZ, Sparta Rotterdam, Telstar, De Graafschap and FC Dordrecht. His expiring contract in Dordrecht was not extended at the end of last season.
