The American actress and singer Selena Gomez (31, “Spring Breakers”) is skeptical about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the music industry. “To be honest, the whole AI topic scares me,” she said at a conference .
She doesn’t think anyone in her industry wants to rely on a computer to translate their story or message. “I don’t think you will ever replace what a human being can write,” she said on Tuesday afternoon (local time).
She recently described an AI cover of her voice as “creepy.”
In an Instagram post, a video was posted in which an artificial intelligence covered The Weeknd’s hit “Starboy” and imitated Selena Gomez’s voice.
