The Berlin clothing brand Wrstbhvr has opened its first flagship store outside the capital. The label, founded in 2014, has also had its own store in downtown Hamburg for a few days now. Wrstbhvr now offers its collections in a sales area of 220 square meters at Poststrasse 37-39.
The Hanseatic city is closely following Berlin in terms of online sales and is therefore the “ideal location for the biggest milestone in retail expansion to date,” the company explained in a statement. The brand also has two full-price stores in Berlin-Mitte as well as outlets in Wertheim Village and Roermond, the Netherlands.
The next expansion steps are already planned: a shop in Frankfurt am Main and a “several month” pop-up space in the Berlin luxury department store KaDeWe are to be opened this year, Worst Behavior GmbH announced. In 2024, the clothing retailer wants to open an area in Munich and its first store abroad. He chose the British capital London as the location.
Ozancan Kaplan, Head of Retail & Expansion at Wrstbhvr, explained the background to the retail plans: “We come to our customers, we offer them the chance to experience us locally in their city and get to know us even better as a brand,” he explained in a statement. “The personal bond with our customers is very important to us and this can be strengthened in stationary retail like no other sales channel.”
