A 23-year-old man from Oss was arrested on Monday evening because he had an 11-year-old girl from Rotterdam with him, who had been missing since Sunday morning. The police suspect the man of ‘withdrawal from parental authority’.

This did not immediately yield any tips, but behind the scenes a large investigation team continued the search. This research team managed to map out where the girl might have been. Thanks to camera images, the suspect was identified: the 23-year-old man from Oss. A team immediately went to the man’s house in Oss. Officers found no one there, but a short time later the incident happened. They saw the man’s car in a parking lot in Heesch around nine o’clock in the evening. The girl was in the car with the man.
The girl was taken to a police station in good health. There, officers were able to call the parents with the good news that their daughter had been found.

The girl is now being spoken to to find out exactly what happened. The 23-year-old man is in custody and is being interrogated.
