Participation in the Champions League for the first time brought Eintracht Frankfurt a record turnover of 310.2 million euros in the 2022/23 season. Overall, the Bundesliga club made a profit of 17.6 million euros after taxes last season. “It was a successful year,” said Frankfurt’s CFO Oliver Frankenbach on Friday when presenting the key economic figures.
Thanks to the positive development, the Hessians increased their equity to 24.7 million euros. For this season, Frankenbach is again expecting a hefty profit after the transfers of top striker Randal Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain for 95 million euros and offensive player Jesper Lindström to the Italian champions SSC Napoli for 35 million euros. “Our equity will be around 60 million euros at the end of the season,” predicted Frankenbach. This would mean the club would return to the level before the corona pandemic.

The record revenue from merchandising of 23.2 million euros also contributed to the second-highest profit in the club’s history after the 2018/19 season (18.6 million euros). “The euphoria following the successes in recent years has led to a completely changed perception of the club,” said Frankenbach.
There was also a significant increase compared to the 2021/22 season in TV revenue, which rose from 106.2 million to 140.5 million euros, and in marketing revenue. These increased by 12.3 percent to 42.9 million euros. In return, the debt was reduced from 62.9 million to 48.6 million euros.
