“More than Cosquín Rock, it’s Lollapalooza,” says a Twitter user. “A lot of everything, but little rock,” protests another. Criticism erupted minutes after the traditional Córdoba event announced its lineup. The thing is that the most purists expected other types of bands on the grid and the information that was released this Thursday disappointed them.
A rocker with more years of experience posted a photo from a previous edition of the Cosquín Rock. In the four days of the festival, figures such as Charly García, Fito Páez, Pappo, Ataque 77, Bersuit and many others. That, some say, will be impossible to replicate in Argentine music in the genre that once identified this event.
On February 10, 2024, at the Santa María de Punilla Aerodrome they will play Lali, Duki, Tiago Pzk, Bándalos Chinos, Knowing Russia, among others. There will even be an edition of the fashion party, the Bresh. There are barely any left Ciro, Babasónico, Divididos, The Authentic Decadents and Catupecu representing an older generation. The fans who protested were not even enough to have the stellar presence of Slash, guitarist of the Rolling Stones and undisputed symbol of rock.
The debate takes place every time a traditional event puts on its new schedule. In fact, on this occasion, they did Cosquin number 1 trend in Argentina. The unfailing passage of time makes the purists explode against the new generations of musicians.
